Colchester Time Bank

Do you have skills that you would like to share? Want to learn to do something new? Give something back to your local community? Improve your health and wellbeing? Meet new friends?

Maybe you know how to set up a computer, bake a cake or have time to meet someone for a cup of tea. Perhaps you love gardening or can speak another language.

Timebanking is about sharing skills and time. Whatever your passion or expertise, everyone has something to offer.

For every hour you volunteer you can bank a Time Credit and ask for help in return.

St Neots TimeBank

Covering the PE19 postal area, the TimeBank for St Neots (a fast expanding market town) was set up by its coordinator in March 2012. We facilitate a variety of time exchanges, including gardening, IT skills and a multitude of other skills however small (such as changing a light bulb or being a phone friend). Our members include older people, retired professionals, school-leavers, university students, and people seeking work… our time bank is open to everyone. We have taken part in projects/fundraisers and, when restrictions allow, we host regular get-togethers. In addition, we have a mobility loan service and a Jigsaw library.

We welcome new members, and our broker will give you all the help you need to get started. Registration is free. Timebanking is a ‘Safety Net’ for all its members. Call 07590 909057, email time.volunteers@outlook.com or visit our website here to find out more.
